This is the only running event I turned up for the year 2009.

Having more than 3500 runners for my category...hence....i'm SLOW....

Yet very glad I bump into ChanTat who pace with me,

yet his long legs sprinted and completed before me =S

Swelling Starter December Weekend

Having so much stuff to attend to on just one weekend, feels super tiring but it has bundled loads of joy and excitment =))

1) Work recovery was just too much to stomach.
2) Had the Run of the year for a lazy bunny to cover the 21 km.

A. Bob lost his front tooth...and shaved ugly again (double impact)
B. Dad got a cut
C. Pleasant Supper-ing
D. Sudden display of displeasure by colleague early in the morning.

The Office Party

Maybe the most "outrageous" & hilarious production I have seen for 2008.
Very realistically complex relationships that surface in alot of multiplex working environment.

I do feel certain scenes are slightly streamline.
Love the closeness these actors are to audience since the theater is small.
The actors were very 'interactive' too, an audience's mobile set off the interaction, made everyone laughed & the actors abit awkward.

Lovely night of laughter i was bestowed.

'New' weekend experience..

Was really talked into trying wakeboarding for monthss by jasper..
and it HAPPENED !!! i still ponder on how i agree on the event.
yet..the weather was not on my side..for a NEWBIE wakeboarder..

Weather before my WakeBoarding Started



Clouds formed..Darken...and Surrounded our tiny speed-boat.
When it finally poured..it hit us hard..very hard...worst when in motion thru the rain.
I didnt succeed to stand on the board..but the experience was exciting yet scary.
Since the rain was too heavy, wakeboarding session was shorten.

Since the wakeboarding did not created too much impact on my body, lucky for the shorten duration..hehe..i head on for some salsa in the evening. But sort of over did my body by doing so.





On sunday, ZOO !!
It has been decaets since I last visited the Singapore Pride.
Interesting combination, Ling , Angie, Rachel n me, 4 ladies..
The weather was favourable too us.. After tucking in breakfast at the Zoo, the tour started.
We lasted till the Zoo closed at 5 pm..goosh..we did stay long..

Marina Barrage

An Out-oF-CycLe trip suggested by Moo~ to Marina Barrage on 1st Nov 09

Carnival was held over the weekend for visitors to sight-see, the reservoir build.
Of cos..the Govt money spent..hahaa

So there we go, few Mountain Tortoise cum Mini-CoWorker Outing sets off.
The place attracted quite a crowd. Took random pictures of the places & ourselves.
Hot sun baking everyone, umbrella popping everywhere.

There were also water sports..FOC...so there we went...Kayaking...Just to find out of 4 of us, 2 have never done it before..Very very trilling, Lucky i got spare clothing..aiyoo..was WET as the tide generated by a passing-by ferry crash into my kayak..sigh..

Hahaa...Moo~ insist on taking photo of kayak after we came back to dry land.
Took the Last ferry arranged for the Carnival back to the City...Very enjoyable Ride...

Exciting..yet draining weekend.

Continuation of motion after F1. Can't help it since Sexy was going..Need to meet her since so hard to catch her.

After a long long night, next day Was GYM in the morning..Oh My Oh My..tired..n burnt.

Can't manage all the ache I have accumulated over the week. Hence evening head for another..mini torture to fix those achy legs.

After the therapy, it was on to another $$$ saving event. DVD Marathon with friends.
Watched until 5 am in the morning before I roll back home..

Before I could sleep enough on the beautiful sunday, I was up before noon and preparing for another physical activity which I could..NEVER NEVER imagine myself doing it. My friend..really have persuasive skills..Keep psycho me over the months..till I said YES. It was exciting, new, interesting...will do it again..
But that was another LONG LONG day..

This weekend has been..OVER BURN!!!

tired..aching is the ultimate output...

Oktoberfest @ Swiss Club..

After all the headaches of replacement and venue meeting etc..the event took place!!!

Fun is the statement..
Food is the enjoyment..
Drinks is the energy..
Music is the vibe..

Great moments I had with my friends, also felt great such a carnival well done at home ground..
Oooh..the vibe really brings everyone in the mood.

Power-up Weekend

In my earlier post, indicated comfort and fun from others.
This was the POWER-UP weekend!!

Having a BBQ session last Friday to celebrate Ms Wonderful's bday plus many others of relative dates together..It was pack with anticipation as the event approaches.

Despite all that cooking I actually did over the hot hot pit. Food was a while spread and the company was evidently GREAT.

The day following, was also an unforgettable salsa night. A few great energy dances executed with much pleasure. And ending it, with a few of us, the last few on the dancefloor, played childhood games together ( 老鹰抓小鸡 ) and demonstrated moments of combine synchronization hand movements. These moment of jester, were uplifting moments.

Sunday was early work-out and a good leg massage for to relieve the exhaustion generated through the week.

How come it was not like this slightly positive the in the beginning of the week instead?

Absolute Party..Oooh

Once again, invited by the invitee..hahaa.
Went to eM @ Gallery Hotel for the Absolute Party (Launch Part for Absolute Mango)

Oooh..guest flow in late..but steadily. Since free flow of Mango Mojito & Martini are readily available at all times..

We had some good moments..of snacks and drinks before slipping away from the crowd to grap some decent dinner.

Shape Run & Safra Bay Run 2008

For Shape Run in Jul, I felt my body perform badly as mention in my earlier post.

One month later..I attempted the Safra Bay Run

For Safra Bay Run, I started off really very late. Think past 7.50 am since I woke late..was already running to the station and only manage to reach City Hall station at 7.30 am. But there were so much ppl still walking around and strolling. I just try to make out where is the baggage area and reverse my wrongly worn shorts ..(hahaha wore in a hurry n dark is never the best dressing up condition)

Despite the Net Finish time is not as good as I hoped for. But I felt good about it since i was coughing with lots of phlegm during the run..sigh..why always sick during such runs..Also my legs were aching from gym workout...But could felt I have better control of my body.

Of cos..this year the route plan was much easier compare to last year 12km Bay Run.

Power Packed weekend..

It has been awhile filling up myself with so much activities..
Finally decided that I miss dancing alot, and last friday work was able to cut some slack off me..so there i went.
After my long meeting out at Plaza Sing (not the usual in ofc..hahaa) met Hammy up n shopping @ citylink mall.
Prior to that, gave my Company's convention a skip since late already..n they did finish earlier than expected.

It was a bagful of returns for Hammy..she purchased quite a number of pieces..
After that..headed to the dance floor...and for the night..i over danced..and stretch my lower abs muscle due to an unexpected dip..finished my night in bed @ nearly 5 am after light supper .

Yet the next day was also fun filled...GYM @ 10 am...sweet PT woke me up..but gave up since i sleepily told him i injured..but was just a stretched that hurts badly.. yet..the wake up call..disable my sleep mode.
So i dragged myself down to the gym..n did half the training and abit more cardio.

Hit the steam room to cook myself and catch some nap..only felt more pain in my lower abs when getting up.
Oh well, took time to dress -up for the movie with salsa bunnys @ Plaza Sing.."Money Not Enough 2".

Next was to meet up with Eric & Viola for dinner at ToaPayoh..haha..Food was good..the company was better. But being very tired out..and in pain ...food was not eaten to full enjoyment. Yet all the laughter filled me up.

We splited into 2 groups to head to 2 different location to dance..Eric leaded the Union grp and I leaded the Jitterbugs grp. Jitterbugs was having salsa party..so going there for some experience of the studio and crowd.
Had a few good dances..till 11 plus..we head off to union to meet the rest..and I danced till 2 am..WooHoo..another swelling good time with a few new & known dance partners..was very enjoyable.

All these done..despite the pain..

Reading..

Wow..it has been long since i last really read a novel..
But the book Joey loan to be was really good..

Simply can't keep my hands off it. I finished reading it in few days.
Normally it would take WEEKS. The writing is vivid and colourful.

Book Title : The Kite Runner, by Afghanistan writer.
Ending the book, also resulted in tired eyes..sigh..
Back to work..tired..

Went and join the queue for the 8million jackpot.
Since the opening was 8 Aug 2008, which is Beijing Olympic 2008's opening.
And also my Joey's bday celebration and following National Day..
Also also..huhu 1st time msn me..hahaha..

So much activities happened, happening, going to happen...why not just buy buy ..hahaa

Extreme..Decision..

Took up a 21 KM challenge for end of the year.
whats next..crazily signed up for a 2 years gym service..

Crashing my body..my mind..my soul..and lastly my POCKET!!!
All that does leave regret after the moment committed..sigh~

Had come to this decision after the a horrible 1st attempt @ Shape Run 2008.
Finished the race in 1hr 14 mins. better than before yet..body felt tougher than before..so lack of spirit..

Taiwan..haha..my 1st trip there
Semi-alone most of the time..Leveraging on Sexy's accommodation which was really out of her generosity.

Hot Hot HOT Climate.
Lots of 欢迎光临~~！ from the sales personnels in shops..is often said with a musical tone to that phrase...very hard to describe.."ringing"..haha..maybe demo also can't do as well them.

Dan Shui was the first location I conquered on my own..Lovely bay..The sun gave a golden touch on everything in view. Old streets filled with stores and souvenirs to see. Got lots of gifts there but failed to get enough..Feeling kinda of guilty..but really limiting myself so that I can survive thru the holiday. Oh..i also had my MacDonald Lunch..there..kekee..Taken lots of pictures till my Camera ran out of battery and hence had to depend on my mobile camera..which also produced this beautiful sunset picture...rush rush..i went back to meet sexy for dinner..@ ShihLing Night M

After recharging the camera's battery..it still went dead on me the 2nd day. Very Very angry and Very Very sad..for the trip to Jiu Fen was very pretty..the BLUE (Sea) , the Brown ( sand & stone ), the Green (Mountains)..yet I can only try my mobile's LIMIT best to capture..



After Jiu Fen, I proceed with moving constantly on my own in the day..sigh..moments of thoughts flooded in, "Would be nice if sharing with another "..but alone was not that bad either. Hence XinBeiTou I went, to enjoy Hot Spring

Hot-spring under in the open, under the sky..ahh~..if have a friend..it would be nice too...Oh well, soaked myself for nearly over an hour. Before I knew it, dust was setting in and I had to rush rush back to meet Cilia for dinner..starving her..starving me..

My final day, decided to head on to LongShanXi..shopped around..hopping to get something more local artwork fan for Ling. That area finally gave me the vibe of Taiwan Chinese...Thanks to the Art-School staffs, which i stumble upon, thinking it was some handicraft shop..hehe..

At LongShanXi area..GuangXi Street got lots of old people gathered to see old items like jade & watches..very much like our Chinatown...
Attempt to walking thru the HuaXi Night market..But since as indicated.."NIGHT MARKET", most of the stores were closes..it does gave a different feeling.



I did accidentally stumble upon the brothels..really by chance, I won't be in a right mind to go looking for such places.. Anyway, was thinking the alley would be a short-cut towards the station and got other things to see so hop hop into it..and yup..walked into "red zone" but nothing much since is was late afternoon.Sigh~..sad i didn't take any pics but think it would be very intruding if I did that.

For Taiwan's night market..one can sense lots of vibe..colors..activities going on. things sold..I even manage to engaged the efficient of those illegals stalls owner's evacuate exercise upon seeing the patrols..and reinstated back their location shortly after.



Food are great there, fairly priced for basic items..I'm glad was able to eat Cilia's fav food...and all other things she recommended.
But still was less adventurous on over eating since a bit unwell..haha

Overall, it was a interesting, fast, messy, goal achieved trip.

Changes ..
Life Change, Things Change, Environment Change
Thats how evolvment happens
Is a new experience yet again..since I last visited it 2-3 yrs back

A change of companions on this revisit of this island...
Intersting combination..Hoping a pair may buds a little more chemistry..as for the rest..just something out of the ordinary to fill life with.

Island has been developed for more tourist friendly..Yet this might have lost its orignal raw beauty. Still very glad that the event took place. Allowing the Sight to fall upon those raw beauty..Saw ppl fishing in the mangrove..Oh..that where my accident happen too..haha..left the island..contented even with the inflicted injuries...haha..

Time flies..really really fast..and left the island at 7 pm..headed to T3 for fast-food Popeye's Fried Chicken..
Ahh..the contrast in environment...


Moments of change..there are so much yet..yet one can only experience so much.
