First time watching a Hokkien (dialect) movie that is locally produced.
Have to say Royston Tan is very talented director. The nearly lost local 'Getai' magic is once again re-lived in the movie.

It consist of warmth, laughter, love and undeniable sadness of the struggle to live the dream and to be loved.

Be amused and amazed by the vibrant colors of the movie. From characters to costumes, from props sets to music and the way it was movie was filmed. The film mitts a nostalgic flavor to the viewers. Maybe is the locality projected, most above 25 years old SGians would be able to relate to.

Truly to be appreciated by all viewers.
I laughed, I indulged , I cried through the film...
